INTERVIU BILINGV/ Michael Zeman și pasiunea sa nebună pentru Bayern: "Sângele meu este alb-roșu!"

Ziarul de Sport v-a obișnuit cu articole originale care prezintă povești ce trebuie cunoscute de întreagă lume. Astăzi, pe site-ul nostru este prezentată povestea lui Michael Zeman, zis Buschmann, unul dintre cei mai înfocați suporteri ai lui Bayern Munchen și printre cei mai înfocați suporteri din acest sport într-un interviu bilingv.

Ziarul de Sport: Cum te simți știind că ești unul dintre cei mai faimoși suporteri ai lui Bayern și un model pentru generațiile mai tinere?
Michael Zeman: Nu mă văd deloc diferit de restul fanilor lui Bayern. "Costumul" pe care îl port îl am de 40 de ani deja. În 2012 eram în Doha, Qatar, făceam parte din echipa Sport1 care căuta super-fani ai echipelor din Bundesliga și am câștigat reprezentând Bayern. Fanii celorlalte echipe veneau la mine și mă rugau să facem o poză în același timp în care televiziunile solicitau interviuri. Îmi plac foarte mult interacțiunile de acest tip, cu alți fani, în special la deplasările din Champions League. Eu voi rămâne mereu aceeași persoană și voi continua să cred și să sper că cei mai tineri vor adopta acest stil, de geacă de blugi cu patch-uri, cum port eu, ca să ducă tradiția mai departe.

ZdS: Dacă ai fi primit șansa de a ți se oferi un rol la club, de exemplu cel de ambasador, l-ai accepta?
Zeman: Ar fi un vis devenit realitate și o mare onoare pentru mine. Mulți spun că sunt cel mai bun ambasador al fanilor, dar asta nu depinde de mine. Eu am timp să fac tot ceea ce fac pentru că sunt deja pensionat, într-un fel. În decembrie am fost invitat la cea mai mare conferință pentru sport din Asia. S-a ținut între 2 și 3 decembrie în Manila, unde am avut plăcerea să întâlnesc membrii fanclubului local, Mia San Manila.

ZdS: Care este lucrul pe care l-ai schimba în acest moment la Bayern? Poate fi orice.
Zeman: Nimic deocamdată. Totul funcționează cum trebuie, jucătorii tineri și noua conducere (Oliver Kahn și Hassan Salihamidzic) sunt în plin proces de creștere și maturizare, așa că cel mai bine ar fi să așteptăm să vedem ce urmează în anii ce vin.

ZdS: În urmă cu ceva vreme, ai apărut într-un spot publicitar al Bundesligii în care ți s-au oferit 200 de mii de dolari pentru a fi fața galeriei Borussiei Dortmund. Cum te-ai simțit în acele momente?
Zeman: A fost incredibil (n.r. râde)! Eu îi tot întrebam "Unde e camera ascunsă?" Mi-au oferit 20% din veniturile din bere la fiecare meci și voiau să-mi pună fața pe autocarul lui Dortmund. Au mai tăiat la montaj niște secvențe. M-au luat de acasă și m-au dus direct la hotel, zicând că pentru un interviu, apoi s-a întâmplat ce s-a întâmplat. Nici nu m-am gândit vreo secundă să o trădez pe Bayern acceptând banii și ce mai ofereau ei. Sângele meu e roșu și alb!

ZdS: Prin ce te finanțezi? Ai un job?
Zeman: Am lucrat pentru Deutsche Telekom, dar sunt pensionat din 2010 din cauza unor boli (depresie). Acum am o pensie, destul de mică, dar uneori mă mai ajută minunata mea mamă cu bani, în special la deplasările din Champions League. Mulțumesc, mamă!

ZdS: Ce părere a avut familia ta despre această pasiune nebună, la început?
Zeman: Soția mea așa se bucură când se termină sezonul (n.r. râde)! Abia atunci apuc să petrec și eu mai mult timp acasă. Mama știe și e de acord cu asta. Ea mi-a făcut geaca și mi-a cusut patch-urile.

ZdS: Care este lucrul tău favorit la Bayern?
Zeman: Clar Mia San Mia! Bayern München e o mare familie. Clubul a susținut sentimentul ăsta în toți acești ani și asta e superb. Uite câteva exemple: fanii pot urmări liber antrenamentele echipei, în pauza competițională se organizează vizite ale jucătorilor la fancluburi, suporterii pot trimite întrebări Președintelui o dată la 4 luni, iar 30 de norocoși au șansa să-l întrebe chiar în persoană. Mai face vreun club din lume așa ceva? Nu cred.

ZdS: La câte meciuri ale lui Bayern ai fost în tribune? (Aproximativ)
Zeman: E o întrebare bună! Am mers la primul meci când aveam 13 ani. Având în vedere că acum merg la 25-30 de meciuri pe sezon și că am 55 de ani, cred că am depășit cifra de 1000 de meciuri.

ZdS: De unde această pasiune pentru club?
Zeman: Când eram copil (născut în 1964), mama obișnuia să-mi spună că toată lumea are proprii favoriți. Când ne jucam pe stradă, eu eram "Der Bomber", Gerd Müller.

ZdS: Care este cea mai dureroasă experiență a ta ca suporter?
Zeman: Clar cele două finale de UCL pierdute de Bayern, în 1999 și 2012. Am fost pe stadion la ambele și a fost oribil! De ambele dăți noi am fost mai buni. Dar așa e fotbalul uneori...

ZdS: Ce așteptări ai de la Bayern în următorul deceniu?
Zeman: Sper să ne menținem poziția în ierarhia mondială a fotbalului. Avem o echipă bună, iar Oliver Kahn va fi un succesor foarte bun pentru Rummenigge din 2021. E greu să concurezi cu banii pe care îi dau echipele din Spania și Anglia, dar noi mereu ne-am descurcat bine, deci nu îmi e teamă pentru următorii câțiva ani.

ZdS: Care este cel mai fericit moment pe care l-ai trăit ca suporter?
Zeman: Să câștigi un titlu sau o finală, e fantastic. Îți dă o senzație de nedescris. În 2013, pe Wembley, finala a fost atât de încărcată de emoție. Era foarte important pentru noi să câștigăm și Doamne, ce petrecere am dat apoi în autocar și pe feribot! Feribotul era sold out, toate berile băute (n.r. râde)!

ZdS: Alege trei cuvinte prin care te-ai descrie.
Zeman: Cred că cel mai bine pot răspunde cei care mă cunosc. Nu îmi place să vorbesc eu despre mine.

ZdS: Încearcă să faci o definiție, în propria ta viziune, a termenului "suporter".
Zeman: Fiecare persoană e diferită. Unii susțin echipa 90 de minute, alții doar când înscrie, dar toți suntem fani ai fotbalului și doar asta contează.

ZdS: Ce preferi: să iei parte din tribune la o finală pierdută de clubul tău sau să ratezi o finală câștigată de acesta?
Zeman: În mod normal ar trebui să spun de o victorie, însă îmi amintesc de finala pierdută în 1999 în Barcelona. A fost o experiență fantastică! A trebuit să mergem pe jos până la autocare, pe o stradă foarte lungă și în urcare. Toate geamurile erau deschise, iar fanii celebrau, fluturau eșarfele lor cu Barcelona. Mereu mi se face pielea de găină când spun povestea. Fotbalul conectează oameni și comunități, iar asta e incredibil

ZdS: How does it feel to be one of the most famous Bayern supporters and a role model for the younger generations?

Zeman: I only view myself as a regular Bayern fan. The outfit that I have, I am using it for over 40 years now. In 2012, I was in Doha, Qatar, as part of the German Sport1 Station search for superfans from each Bundesliga team, winning the contest on the Bayern Munich side. The other fans there were coming to me and asking for photos while other tv stations were asking me a lot of questions for interviews etc. It is very nice to have that type of contact to the fans, also on the Champions League away games. I will always be the same person and I hope and think that younger people will continue to make jeans jackets with patches in order that this great tradition never dies out.

ZdS: If you were given a chance to have an important role at the club, for example ambassador, would you accept it?

Zeman: This would be a dream and a big honor for me! A lot of people said to me that I am the best fan ambassador or fan testimonial, but it is not in my hands. I have got the time to do it, because, by the way, I am an early retired person. This December, I’ve received an invitation to the biggest sport conference in Asia. It took place from 2nd to 3rd December in Manila, and there I had the pleasure to meet the members from the Mia San Manila fanclub.

ZdS: What is the one thing you would change about Bayern right now? It can be anything

Zeman: Nothing at the moment. Everyhting works fine, the new young players and the new crew (Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidzic) are slowly but surely growing up so we will se what happens in the next few years.

ZdS: A while ago you featured in a Bundesliga ad where you have been offered €200k in order to be the face of the BVB gallery. How did you feel in those moments?

Zeman: Ha ha ha this was unbelievable! I kept asking where the candid camera is placed. They offered me 20% from beer sales on matchdays and wanted to put me on Dortmund’s team bus. They haven’t shown weveryhting in the video. They picked me up from home and brought me to that hotel, only for an interview, and then that happened. There was no moment when I thought to betray Bayern and take the money and the rest of that good stuff. My blood is red and white. Oh, and they also told me that this is how their fans would welcome me:

ZdS: What do you do for a living?

Zeman: I used to work for Deutsche Telekom as an official, but I am early retired since 2010 because of illness (burn out, depressions etc). Now I earn a small pension and sometimes I get help from my lovely mother, especially for away trips in the Champions League. Thank you, mom!

ZdS: What did your family think of this hardcore passion of yours at first?

Zeman: Ha ha ha my wife is so happy when the season is over! Then I spend more time at home. My mother knows that and she likes it. She made my coat and put the patches on!

ZdS: What is your favourite thing about Bayern?

Zeman: Definitely Mia San Mia! Bayern Munich is a big family! The club celebrates that over the decades and this is awesome. Here is a couple of examples why so: The fans are free to watch training sessions, in the holiday season the players come and visit fanclubs from around the country, you can send questions to the club’s president every 4 months, and 30 lucky people get the chance to ask them in person. Is there any club in the world who treats its fans the same? I don’t think so.

ZdS: How many Bayern games have you attended? (Aproximatively)

Zeman: This is a good question! I saw my first game at 13 years old. Considering that I attend around 25-30 games a season and I’m 55 years old, I think I crossed the 1000 games mark.

ZdS: What made you love Bayern?

Zeman: When I was a child (born in 1964), my mother used to tell me that everyone has their favourite players. When I was playing football on the streets or on the pitch, I was “Der Bomber” Gerd Muller.

ZdS: What is your worst memory you have as a Bayern fan?

Zeman: Definitely the two Champions League finals that Bayern Munich lost, in 1999 and 2012. I attened both games and it was horrible! We were the better team both times. But this is football..

ZdS: How do you see Bayern in the next decade?

Zeman: I hope that we can hold our position in world football! We have a good team right now and Oliver Kahn is a great successor for Rummenige in 2021. It is hard to stay in the line with all the big money clubs from Spain or England, but we made a good job over the decade so I am not afraid for the next few years.

ZdS: Whats is the happies moment you experienced as a Bayern fan?

Zeman: Winning a title or a final, that is fantastic. That is so emotional that I can’t even describe it. In 2013, at Wembley, the final against Dortmund was so emotional. It was so important for us and my goodness, what a party we threw later in the bus and at the ferry, The ferry was sold out. All the beers were gone ha ha ha.

ZdS: Pick three words to describe yourselve.

Zeman: For that, you have to ask others, I don’t enjoy describing myself.

ZdS: Try to make a short description of the word “supporter” in your vision.

Zeman: Each person is different. Some support the team 90 minutes, other only when the team scores, but we are all football fans and that’s all that matters.

ZdS: What would you prefer? To attend an UCL final lost by your club or to miss one won by it?

Zeman: Normally a win, but when I remember the lost one in 1999 in Barcelona.. it was a fantastic experience. We had to walk to our buses. It was a very long street up the hill. All the windows from the houses/appartements were open and the fans were celebrating, waving their Barcelona scarves. I always get goosebumps when I tell this story. Football is connecting people and this is awesome.
